• Comfort items: robe, slippers, phone chargers, snacks for support person if allowed.
• Labor aids: water bottle, hair ties, lip balm, massage tools if permitted.
• Postpartum: loose clothing, nursing bras if breastfeeding, peri-care items per hospital list.
• Baby: going-home outfit, installed car seat, weather-appropriate layers.

Nutrition pages should never shame food culture. If guidance here conflicts with your clinician’s advice for gestational diabetes, hypertension, or hyperemesis, follow the personalized plan—those conditions override generic tips.

Insurance and employer paperwork often wants an “EDD on letterhead.” Request that explicitly so your administrative dates match your medical dates—small mismatches create big headaches for maternity leave.
